The first stage of the Business 51 reconstruction project is scheduled to begin in early July. Stage one work is anticipated to be complete by mid-August. Stage 1 scope includes a full road closure of Business 51 from Briggs Street to approximately 250 feet north of Franklin Street. All businesses along the corridor will remain open and accessible throughout the duration of the project.

Anticipated Start Date: July 6, 2026
Anticipated Duration: 4-6 weeks
Stage 1 will include a hard closure of the roadway within the stage work limits and no through traffic will be allowed. Resident and business access within the stage will be provided over a gravel surface. Franklin Street, between Prentice and Division Street, will be temporarily converted to two-way traffic to allow access to the YMCA and residential properties along Franklin Street and Vincent Court. There will be an established temporary route for the Fire Department at all times.
